This is the second little essay prepared from the record as set forth in an old Orders Book of an Army of both federal troops and state militia serving in western Pennsylvania in 1794 and 1795. The first described the organization and some of the operations of an occupation force that replaced a 15,000-man Army that was sent by President Washington to the Pittsburgh area in the fall of 1794.
