High Frontier
A History of Aeronautics in Pennsylvania by William F. Trimble
Keywords:
William F. Trimble, aeronautics, Pennsylvania, history, balloonists, balloon, airplaneAbstract
William F. Trimble refers to his study as being only a “starting point” and declares that many areas of the history of flight in Pennsylvania still need examination. High Frontier: A History of Aeronautics in Pennsylvania, however, is an excellent beginning to a remarkable story. Few people, if any, will dare admit that they were not thrilled to see their first balloon or airplane. It has to be a vivid memory and Trimble’s history reminds us of that unforgettable childhood experience.
