Abstract
While the study of the home front in World Wars I and II is extensive, we know very little about Pennsylvania in the Spanish-American War: it is almost as though the war had never happened to Pennsylvania. What role did the home front play in softening the blow of nineteenth century army camp conditions? Where did Pennsylvania regiments train? Did any see combat?
