This article was prompted by a prior release in The Journal of Erie Studies titled "A Few of the Union City Boys in Blue - and a Few in Gray" (Spring 1993, Vol. 22, No. 1) by Kathy Warnes. Warnes’s article focused on a seemingly arbitrary group of Union City-area veterans.
