Tabulation of Erie County Quilts

Abstract

Data determined by the 1996-1997 Erie County Historical Society Quilt Documentation Survey conducted in Erie County was entered into a Windows WordPerfect 6.2 table/ merge database and related merge documents. Quilt information selected for the database included code number, date (decade only) when quilt was made, pattern, method (pieced, applique, novelty, embroidered, or multiple), quilt size, main colors used, whether the quilt had a border, name of quilter (if known), location quilt was made (if known), event for which quilt was made (if known), and backing fabric and colors with any special features. The information required for incorporation in this Journal was sorted by pattern and date.
