Abstract
As I watched televised reports showing, via the media, America’s response to the civil disorder in Los Angeles after the Rodney King verdict I thought we have learned nothing. Twenty-seven years earlier we witnessed those same scenes of disorder -- fires, death, destruction; National Guard troops, human brutality and personal heroism. The scenes were acted out in many communities all across the nation and Erie was not an exception.
