Harry Kellar's Final Performance in Erie
Main Article Content
Abstract
This is the third article involving Harry Kellar's Erie connection to appear in The Journal of Erie Studies. In the Fall 1995 Journal, I tell of his youth from 1849 when he was born in Erie until he started his first “Round the World Tour” as a magician at age 24. The second article in the Spring 1998 Journal takes place twelve years later at the completion of two “World Tours,” when Harry Kellar returned to Erie to give his first performance here on Monday evening, September 14, 1885, at the Park Opera House.
