Announcing the new editor of Honors in Higher Education

Cynthia Jackson-Elmoore, Professor and Dean of the Honors College at Michigan State University became the Editor in Chief of Honors in Higher Education in September 2016. Dr. Jackson-Elmoore has considerable editorial experience, serving as the Senior Associate Editor of the Journal of Urban Affairs, and the Editor in Chief of the Red Cedar Undergraduate Research Journal, a publication of the MSU Honors College. Dean Jackson-Elmoore has edited several books and journal special issues and served on the editorial boards of journals in public administration, public affairs and urban affairs. Dr. Jackson-Elmoore's disciplinary based research is currently focused on mechanisms for individuals and communities to influence state level public policy. Dean Jackson-Elmoore is committed to highlighting and advancing the value-proposition of honors education in the 21st Century. Professor Jackson-Elmoore appreciates the efforts of colleagues around the world to bring a critical research lens to the collective work of the honors community, especially that which occurs at research intensive institutions of higher education. Many thanks to the founding editorial team of Honors in Higher Education for the vision to establish this platform for the broad distribution of scholarly peer-reviewed research on honors education.
