About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The purpose and goal of The Medical Review Journal is to publish a variety of undergraduate medically related articles. Authors from various undergraduate backgrounds, including but not limited to Biology, Biochemistry, Business, Chemistry, Engineering, Liberal Arts, Psychology, Public Health, Science, and Sociology are encouraged to submit works from their discipline that are related to the medical field. The field of medicine is very broadly defined and open consideration will be given for connected works from any background. Ultimately, this will provide undergraduate students an outlet for reading, understanding and publishing reviews on primary literature.

Peer Review Process

The submission will first be reviewed by a jounral manager for content and appropriateness. Next, approved articles will be sent to two editing groups comprised of undergraduate peer reviewers. After the groups edit the article, a professor in a related discipline will review the submission. Finally, the article will be sent back to the author marked as rejected or accepted with revisions.
