The Penn State Journal of Medicine  is a peer-reviewed and bias-blind journal. The mission is to provide a means for publication of clinical and medical-based research completed by students enrolled at the Penn State College of Medicine. The objective of the work published within this journal is to provide research that can be utilized by clinical providers and clinical scientists alike to directly improve patient care. The Penn State Journal of Medicine is produced and published in collaboration with Open Journal Systems and Pennsylvania State University Libraries.

Submissions must be made online using the submission form that can be found to the right side of this page by clicking "Make a Submission". Submissions should be submitted by a student author of the manuscript and should include the Student-Advisor form, found under the files tab. The submitting author takes responsibility for the article during submission and peer review.

At this time, we will be accepting original articles, brief reports, and case reports. For author guidelines, word lengths, and general outlines of each submission, please visit: Author Guidelines. First author student submissions will be accepted from the following students: medical, physician assistant, nursing, and PhD. The deadline for submission is May 1st, 2021 at 11:59 pm, with planned publication in Sept. 2021. All submissions will be screened by the editorial board to determine if they meet the mission statement and general guidelines of the journal section that they were submitted to.
