Rural Policy - The Research Bulletin of the Center for Rural Pennsylvania features research sponsored by the Center, which is a legislative agency of the Pennsylvania General Assembly. The Center is authorized to fund research of qualified faculty members of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, The Pennsylvania State University, and the regional campuses of the University of Pittsburgh.

The nine authorized research areas, as determined by the Center’s enabling legislation and its amendments, are rural people and communities, economic development, local government finance and administration, community services, natural resources and environment, educational outreach, rural values and social change, agriculture, and health and welfare concerns.
