Abstract

What better memories are there than spending time with family and friends? Between the Civil War and World War I, the Second Industrial Revolution created a world of leisure time for both blue and white collar workers and families had more time to spend on recreation. At the same time, technology brought new products, including cameras like the inexpensive Brownie, bringing photography to a much wider audience.
