Abstract
Many people are familiar with African American cultural programming such as African Drum and Dance, which has graced the cultural landscape of America for more than a century. From the earliest times of African cultural retention in the late 19th century to the more recent dynamic of creativity fueled by an increase in African immigration to the U.S., this cultural art form was propagated by renowned artists. One of the most renowned creators and dance virtuosos was Mama Kadiatou Conte-Forte.
