Abstract
When young real estate entrepreneurs Frederick Bruckman and William Robinson hired Wilkinsburg architect Frederick Scheibler in 1903 to design rental properties for the middle class in the Pittsburgh neighborhoods of Homewood, Brushton, Squirrel Hill, and Park Place, they never realized how much they would contribute to the change in the housing landscape for those East End neighborhoods. Just as unlikely is that they could imagine the fame their Park Place apartment building would receive; it would make Pittsburgh proud.
