Abstract
It is quite possible that I am the only person who thinks about ice age megafauna while taking Exit 54 off I-79 South in Bridgeville. Every time I am driving back to Meadowcroft from the History Center, I cannot help but remember the mastodon who died there in a peat bog 23,000 years ago, just a stone’s throw from the exit ramp descending to Rt. 50.
