Educational Media Reviews Online (EMRO) is an open access journal of critical reviews of media from major educational and documentary distributors and independent filmmakers. The reviews are written by librarians and teaching faculty from across the United States and Canada.

The End of Ethics

Laments and deconstructs the great schisms in the American experiment between greed and good, brutality and empathy, and imperialism and democracy. Heralding the Founding Fathers for creating a new state based on individualism yet seeding it with racism and violence, it lays bare America’s dichotomies and how they have deepened in the last 40 years and led to obscene income disparity, a culture of cynical materialism, corporate lockstep media, gun violence, “gulag politics,” homelessness, social media immersion, and big money surveillance.
