Spotlight: Donora Public Library

The Donora Public Library (a member of the Washington County Library System) was founded in 1930. Originally located at the Tri-Plant Club until 1946, it relocated to the Community Center Building until 1996, when it moved to its present location on Meldon Avenue.

The library's mission is to provide a balanced collection of print and electronic resources and services to patrons of all ages for their educational, cultural, and recreational needs. The library serves the boroughs of Donora and Finleyville as well as Carroll, Union, and Nottingham Townships.

The Historical Society retains the right to reprint articles in any format or media, and retains the right to grant that permission to others.
