Abstract
When you think about athletes from the town of Aliquippa, it is generally football players such as Mike Ditka or Tony Dorsett, Sean Gilbert, Ty Law, or Darrelle Revis who leap to mind. But Aliquippa has also been the birthplace of professional baseball players, including Tito Francona and pitcher Doc Medich. When the family of Philadelphia Athletics infielder Pete Suder donated materials related to his baseball career to the History Center, it unlocked an interesting story of this Beaver County big leaguer.
